1 Chronicles 16:16-18

International Standard Version

¹⁶ the covenant^[a] that he made with Abraham,
    and the oath he swore to Isaac.
¹⁷ He confirmed it to Jacob in the form of an ordinance,
    an eternal covenant to Israel,
¹⁸ when he told Israel,
    “To you I will give the land of Canaan
        as your joyful inheritance.”^[b]
